Not gonna do that unless I have to. I was just screwing around with
updating java and decided I could hold off on that for a while. And I
used to be able to see quicktime videos, but no more -- and mplayer
won't install into the latest version of firefox.
Updating is a bitch whether you do it or not :-(
I'm afraid that's a little beyond my current level of expertise. I"ll
wait and see if the next Picasa update fixes the problem before I try
using WINE, which I've heard of but haven't yet used.
good luck with that. I firmly believe that 3.8 is the last update that
will *ever* be seen. Picnik is the future, ie:
All this for free! Want more? Upgrade to
Picnik Premium for only $24.95 a year!"
I accidentally looked at something with picnik. Godawful slow and it
does stuff I don't want done. It's like going to a website for
information about a product and being treated to dancing bears spelling
out the corporate name. Feh.
If the website doesn't get fixed, it's going to be a real bitch to move
my albums elsewhere. OTOH, maybe I don't need to. I'm pretty sure
nobody but me goes back and looks at the old stuff.

Some people have told me they don't think a fat penguin really
embodies the grace of Linux, which just tells me they have never seen
an angry penguin charging at them in excess of 100mph. They'd be a
lot more careful about what they say if they had. -- Linus Torvalds
