Judging from posts by Willaim Kyngesbury over the weekend, I'd say the
chances are good that this is the problem.

He's running into difficulties compiling aspects of OpenGL in GRASS. Does
NVIZ work otherwise (i.e., for 2D maps)? Or is it stuck with everything?

I wouldn't be surprised if there needs to be a special Leopard binary for
GRASS.

I know that this won't help you a lot, but for anyone else using GRASS on a
Mac, it might be wise to NOT upgrade to OS X 10.5 (aka Leopard) until this
is sorted out.
