in fact, Dalit movement rejects all these upper/lower divitions. It functions ideologically against the system of castes. Does it mean that these socio-cultural divisions based on caste, quite evident in our lived experience, to be un-addressedcomplately? No. Social power equations are based on these binaries; our life itself determined by these very binaries of power structure. When Dalit movement and isolated dalit assertions address the Social by poiting out these aspects, it upsets the self proclaimed secular minds. The homogenisation and the patronisation secular project has an inherent problm with such assertions which make them (such as NGOsed brahmins like Shivam, feminists like NIvedita and young and old scholars who believe in their academic jargons) to re-invent certain terms like "reverse discrmination", "stereotyping and Othering of upper caste" (i have seen the same rhetoric being played by white male against Black Movemnt in online spaces. look at the audacity with which they try to subvert subaltern counter missions!! beware of all of them--young and old)
