I'm wondering if Gregorio can produce PDF output without a white background layer. The reason for this is that I take the files produced by Gregorio and work with them afterward in Adobe InDesign where I do booklets and print-ready production. Unfortunately I don't think that creating booklets in LaTeX is in the cards for me. Steven van Roode also uses this same method and has to remove the white background manually in Illustrator before being able to place a Gregorio score in vector format in InDesign.
