I have the same issue.

I’ve installed gregorio 2.4
which gregorio shows correct file
gregorio -V shows right version
sudo kpsewhich -all gregoriotex.tex shows only one file

But all files compiled with new version of gregorio 2.4-svn produce error:
! Undefined control sequence.
l.3 \gregoriotexapiversion
                          {20130616}%

What did I miss?
