Tried also the 3.0-rc1 already generated fonts from https://github.com/gregorio-project/gregorio/releases/download/v3.0.0-rc1/gregorio-3.0.0-rc1-sources.tar.gz but then no glyphs really showed up on the staff at all, is the 3.0-rc1 font encoding so different from 3.0-rc2? I admit I haven't used that tarball to build the gregorio binary nor install its *.tex files, perhaps will try that tomorrow. FYI, Fedora 21 ships with TeXlive 2014, and as I said earlier, end of last year snapshot worked just fine (and older ones too). All the gregoriotex related files are packaged in rpm, so there are no other versions of the *.tex/*.lua/*.sty/*.ttf gregorio files in the textmf directories.
