Dear gregorio-user fellows,

I have been using current stable gregorio version 3.0.3 on an Ubuntu 14.04 LTS based TeXLive 2015 ("vanilla") system since quite a while w/o any problems. Unfortunately, the latest TeXLive updates (October '15) obtained thru std tlmgr update seem to cause strange incompatibilities preventing lualatex+se/gregoriotex to compile any more. Attempts to compile original std examples (PopulusSion.gabc, main-lualatex.tex) result in a strange error:

! I can't find file `['.

l.44 \includescore[
                 a]{PopulusSion}
(For more details pls see bottom of this note)

Due to a couple of stepwise update/restore attempts I can't but conclude that the 'bad guy' must be among these Oct'15 updates:

   latex [12591k]: local: 37789, source: 38531
   luamplib [195k]: local: 38019, source: 38538
   luatexbase [270k]: local: 30562, source: 38550
   luatexko [247k]: local: 37775, source: 38540
   texlive-docindex [214k]: local: 38492, source: 38552
   texlive-msg-translations [110k]: local: 37957, source: 38534
   texlive-scripts [87k]: local: 38469, source: 38543
   ctablestack [152k]: local: <absent>, source: 38514
   dynamicnumber [162k]: local: <absent>, source: 38549
   fibeamer [1194k]: local: <absent>, source: 38548
   collection-genericextra [1k]: local: 37591, source: 38503
   collection-latexextra [5k]: local: 38408, source: 38549
   collection-luatex [1k]: local: 37811, source: 38514

In particular, the latex update (in conjunction w/ the luatexbase update ?) may be responsible for the trouble: it seems to introduce some major changes in 'luatex and catcode business' (which I do not understand much about, but Elie for sure, will ;-) ) and it enforces regenerating formats . Hence my basic questions are:

1. Anbody around running an up-to-date (Debian) "Vanilla" TeXLive 2015
(w/ latest Oct'15 updates) who can compile gregorio 3.0.3 level
   sources ?
2. Any idea what may be the root cause, any idea how to build a
workaround other than refraining from the updates in question (which
   indeed works fine) ?

Kind regards,
Nick
