The culprit is certainly the LaTeX update, but I admit the error is a bit puzzling... Anyway, we recently fixed things in https://github.com/gregorio-project/gregorio/pull/633 which would be quite easy to backport to you GregorioTeX files I think. Can you try and tell us if it worked?
