I think your example is quite good, but none of the two images are in
line with what (I think) should be done...

First, AsBar is far better than AsIs. But what the algorithm should be
here (in this precise case of a syllable with text but no notes), is:

- notes from *mus* and *Do* should be separated by at least
interwordspacenotes, not by at least 2*interwordspacenotes

- text from *mus* and the star should be separated by at least
interwordspacetext (maybe creating a interwordspacetext@bars?), same for
text from *Do* and the star

I think if this algorithm was applied, there would be less space between
*mus* and the star... What do you think?
