What Élie described is what the algorithm should already be doing. The
fact that it doesn't look that way is a problem with my mock-up, not the
algorithm. In order to get an accurate picture I need to change the
look-ahead argument in the previous syllable to reflect the change in
syllable type for the bar syllable.
Now, by assuming that said look-ahead arguments should be the same for a
"DivisioNihil" as it is for all other bar types, the attached picture is
more accurate.
Let me know if this is more like what you want to see.
If this is right, then we just need to edit the C code so that () is
interpreted as a BarSyllable instead of a normal Syllable. If it isn't,
then we've got some more complicated changes to make.
