A few days ago, I installed the ATI RADEON 5870 on my MacPro (running
10.6.5, Growl version 1.2.1, except for Growl Hardware and basic Growl
no components installed/active) and since then I had regular crashes
connected to the new card. After doing the "normal" debugging of
checking the card, etc. I found this to be a app incompatibility
problem and GrowlHelper to be the cause of this.

GrowHelper keeps displaying the following msgs in the log:

These msgs display at the rate of ~500/sec until the machine crashes.

I've turned Growl off for the moment and everything is running fine
but I think you should know about this and I'd love to have Growl
working again as I rely on its msgs :)
