xinetd does not appear to be a legal option; what document instructed
you to use that? I believe it should just be "-inetd".

Since the normal log file for gatekeeper (var/globus-
gatekeeper.log) does not seem to record the globus-personal-
gatekeeper, I cannot tell more than this.

Can you think of some possible causes for this?
