But the claim was that GTK+is the GNOME toolkit, somehow inexorably tied to
the GNOME desktop. Such examples demonstrate the most obvious weakness of
this way of thinking: these are GTK+ apps that run in a variety of DE's and
on a variety of platforms. Not GNOME apps.
