Quoting Thomas Schuerger <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
        from ml.softs.gtk-gnutella.devel:
:I've noticed that bandwidth limitation has become rather inacurate. On
:my system when outgoing HTTP traffic is throttled to x KB/sec, GTKG
:displays an outgoing used bandwidth for HTTP of more or less steady
:x+2 KB/sec (this is true for small and big values of x), it's similar
:with incoming HTTP traffic (here GTKG allows for approx. 4 KB/sec more
:than what I want).
:
:Any ideas what may be causing this?

Sure: it's a new feature called "use surplus bandwidth" that is ON by
default. It allows unused bandwidth to be used by the others so that
the maximum bandwidth is used globally, but no more.

It's a very useful feature. Especially when you are a leaf node.
