Well, I see no important reason to provide a PDF, so I don't care much either way. You could even specify that hardcopies must be printed on recycled paper, toilet paper or tanned skin, if you want. On an unrelated note, it would be best if the documentation specifies a license. The GPL is not very appropriate for documentation. Personally I'd prefer a non-restrictive Creative Commons license: http://creativecommons.org/license/ Any other choice is fine by me, too.
