Maxine, I've been doing some testing of my own on this surging problem and I also
have experienced the higher RPM surging with a 94 ECU in place of my original 93
so, changing an ECU is not a cure all, as a matter of fact I think my original
ECU was better behaved. How much surging are you getting with your bike (if you
can at all quantify it) and have you tried adjusting for minimizing this
abnormality? Maybe your 10% reduction is due to Yamaha's adjustment. If
interested I can send you my complete log of what I have done so far and believe
me I ain't though yet!
