With opt-out, my fear is that we will never start :-) because we’re talking about several thousand packages that will need to be checked manually. Also, that would most likely break user code on the day that branch is merged. That’s why I think a more gradual approach (with a deadline to switch from opt-in to opt-out to make sure we eventually finish!) would be more reasonable. (That said, I’m not volunteering and I’d support anyone who does. :-)) Ludo’.
