The final wording of e3ad5a273f203268d54d8ad6e9e8efb5000e6f71 is:

  1. The project (defined as maintainers, team members, and anyone with
write access to a Guix repository, including Weblate, or to Guix
resources such as the build farm) **will not use nor encourage use
of genAI** for its code, packages, code review, artwork,
     translations, or any other artifacts.

Personally, I will not pledge: “will not use of GenAI for its code or
any other artifacts”.

What I’d accept to pledge is to not encourage to use GenAI for whatever.
Sure!

Then, I’d accept to pledge a subset of “use” where “its code” is more
explicit as: not use of GenAI for code review; generating prototypes;
generating production code.

And it appears to me requires to be more explicit if one might use of
GenAI for code search/analysis and fancy search-and-replace refactoring
or other stuff I’ve no idea. ;-)

I propose this wording:

  1. The project (defined as maintainers, team members, and anyone with
write access to a Guix repository, including Weblate, or to Guix
resources such as the build farm) **will not encourage use of
genAI** for any purpose, **will not use of GenAI** for code
review, generating prototypes, generating production code, and
should refrain to use GenAI for code search, code analysis or
     code refactoring.

Or something like that. About artwork and translations, I’ve no
opinion.

Cheers,
simon
