| Goa Governor SC Jamir on Wednesday convened the message while conveying the session to pro-tem speaker Fransisco Sardinha, Wednesday afternoon. "The session will have single point agenda," Mr Sardinha told reporters on Wednesday. In yet another development, Congress legislator Jitendra Deshprabhu filed disqualification petition against United Goans Democratic Party (UGDP) legislator Mathany Saldanha. | |||
| Though the UGDP has supported the Congress-led United legislative Party, from the beginning Mathany has stood by Manohar Parrikar.The UGDP had issued whip asking him to vote against the motion on February 2 when the vote of confidence was sought in favour of Parrikar. Mathany defies the directive and instead supported Parrikar. | |||
| In an earlier session which sought confidence motion in favour of the Rane Government, Mathany sat with the Opposition. | |||
