You are very lucky. For me, the 1.1 upgrade did improve the problems with loosing my place in NLS books, but I am still running into it often. It seems particularly common if switching to other files and back, when turning BlueTooth on and off, and when switching to the SD card and back. However, I still have occasional loss of place that I have not been able to tie to an event.
I don't say all this just to complain because I know this is being addressed. However, if some people like you are not having these kinds of problems, there might be a variable outside of the software itself, and it would be nice to know what it is. Some of how this problem is exhibited may depend upon patterns of use. For example, I have never yet lost my place if I power off while still playing the book. I would tend to think of this as risk behavior but it seems to be the opposite. Along the same lines, when the BookSense goes off while playing as a result of the sleep timer expiring, I have never lost my place in a book. If you tend to do the same, you might not be as likely to experience the problem. Tell us your secret. <smile> Best regards, Steve Jacobson On Thu, 17 Sep 2009 06:19:35 -0700, Russ Kiehne wrote: >I've now read close to 40 nls books sense the 1.1 update and have not lost >my place in nls books. >----- Original Message ----- >From: "Brian and Denise Albriton" <[email protected]> >To: "Terri Pannett" <[email protected]> >Cc: "william lomas" <[email protected]>; >Sent: Wednesday, September 16, 2009 11:24 AM >Subject: Re: [GW-Booksense] text files >> That's good it is keeping its place in text files.
