GW Micro stated this causes problems with the internal speakers. do you want louder volume at the risk of blowing out your speakers and having to send the unit back to HMS for repair?
I'd rather not have my speakers prematurely blown out by too loud of volumes applied to them. I heard many times on the 1.1 settings where the speakers rattled a lot. This isn't a good thing. The maximum volume most definitely needs to be bumped up again. It still meets my needs, but only just. I have to walk very slow on tredmill to still hear the built in speaker on max volume. Before, could walk a bit faster. There's got to be a way to get the best of both worlds. Agree about volume's 1 through 5; are't even worth mentioning; might as wel be muted. Still, I'm not complaining. I love my booksense as much as ever, and am extremely happy with all the new features; if only this volume thing could be resolved to meet everyone's needs. With all that being said, though, I completely agree with what Raul said earlier today. Let's just all sit back, relax, have a merry Christmas and enjoy the new firmware for a little while before we really start picking it apart too much. Right off the bat I want it known that HIMS definitly over compensated on the speaker volume adjustmens. Speaker Volume levels 1 to 5 are now so low that they are all vut useless unless your a mouse! Maximum volume is still OK however, the BS volume advantege over the stream is no longer a selling point. The issue with the volume in beta 1.1 was the discrepancy between speaker volume level 5 and 6. All HIMS should have done was bring levels 1 through 5 up a notch, then they would have been spot on, and the issue would have been closed. As it stands in 2.0, there is no doubt in my mind that another external volume adjustment is still required for a future release. Again, Bring levels 6 through 20 back to version 1.1 Increase levels 1 through 5 in line with higher incraments. Now back to my testing LOL! KG. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Raul A.
