I don't think this is so at all as the jack should disconnect the
internal mike. I haven't tried an external mike, but I'd guess the
internal mike doesn't work then either as it should not.

Hi I am not sure why people think this is normal? I just tested this
same functionality with the Plextor Pocket and the built in mike still
works when you select line in audio. I expected the BS to work the
same way.

I was under the impression the mike line in input option only change the
jack input but I found out yesterday if you select line in the built in mike
doesn't work and you get a blank recording. I hope this is something that
can be corrected with a future update.
