Raul,

The occasional failure to record because line in is selected is a problem. But the solution of always having the internal microphone on would also be a problem. Imagine using an external microphone in the line in position and having the extra noise from handling the Book Sense, operating the controls and general environmental noise when what you really want is input only from the line in microphone. I suggest that you retain the microphone, line in options and simply add another option, "both" for those who must have this feature.

There is another solution to the problem of getting no recording when line in is selected but there , is no device connected to it. One could make the speaker emit a warning beep or have the unit say "no line in source" if recording is started and no audio detected after a certain period of time.

No. Currently if you want to use the internal microphone, it must be set to microphone. We will try to make it so that you can use the internal microphone no matter the setting, but this is not the current behavior as of today.

Many thanks.

Currently if you want to record via microphone, whether it's internal
or external, the setting must be set to microphone. if you set it to
line in, only a line in type of recording will work. I have marked
this down to see if it can be made so the internal microphone works
regardless.

Many thanks.

I was under the impression the mike line in input option only change the
jack input but I found out yesterday if you select line in the built
in mike
doesn't work and you get a blank recording. I hope this is something
that
can be corrected with a future update.
