Robert, 

You are mistaken, the IPod touch, IPhone, Ipad, as well as the Mac all work
with Braille displays. As an IPhone user myself, using it with a Braille
display far surpasses my experience of using a PackMate and a VoiceSense. I
understand that a touch screen isn't for everyone but by the same token, the
"ghetto over priced note takers for the blind are also not for everyone.

    The average blind person cannot afford any of the adaptive products 
available.  But we still need them one way or another.

    The iPod is nothing like a note taker.  It has no braille display which 
many blind people need and cannot afford..  Your hearing goes south, what 
good is the iPod then.
