There's an advent one that am looking at, it's got 120 gigs hd 1 gb of ddr2 ram so that really doesn't look to bad if am honest.

If you buy something cheap it's going to run cheap, if you pay extra it will do more. And if you look at specs before buying you can save yourself a lot of trouble on what is the better buy. I'm already in the process of getting me a Net book as we speak. Since I already have a Bluetooth keyboard and head set. This will make a good note taker for the price. I also noticed that a lot of these net books come with only 1 gig of ram. If you check things out, sometimes these net books can have the ram upgraded to two gigs of ram. Also, check with the model your getting to find out if it can have a bigger battery, before buying as you may be able to increase the run time from normal 6 to 8 hours to 12 to 14hours, or be able to buy another battery real cheap.
