Hi Raul and All, You're sure right about using the FN key, rather than using the laptop keyboard layout! And, I can't help but be a bit surprised that this option isn't mentioned in the Window-Eyes tutorial or WE manual. But, rather, they both appear to just mention that there are other layouts available, but they will be concentrating on the desktop layout.
Anyway, ever since I noticed a few months ago you mentioning the FN key as a way to use a laptop or sub notebook with WE, I had been meaning to try that for myself, as I just couldn't seem to get the laptop or JFW layouts to make all that much sense to me, as I just somehow couldn't put it all together in my mind. But, over this last weekend, I listened to Doug's great tutorial for WE, while at the same time having WE running and performing the keystrokes myself, and things just started to come together and make sense for me.
