I have seen this as well been generally when I have researched the problem. It is an unresponsive version of Internet Explorer. as I have stated previously. When a program stops responding the loaded screen reader has difficulty getting information from the operating system, and therefore speech is lost. closing the unresponsive version of Internet Explorer generally solves the problem, And speech returns. Now here is the question. I have always asked myself why when your computer crashes or you have some sort of problem with it to you automatically assume that it is a problem with your screen reader? Sometimes it is but the majority of the time it is the interaction between the screen reader and the operating system something the screen reader has no control over.
