The Lanovo is basically a re-branded MSI Wind. So if you didn't like the
MSI, you won't like the Lanovo.

Hello!
I liked my netbook MSI Wind when I had it but I didn't use Window Eyes on
it! That Netbook was better suited for System Access. My wife has it now!
I hope to get another one for myself, not sure which I'll get!
My Asus laptop doesn't have the function of turning off the mouse pad. My
next Netbook will again have that function. I presently use an Asus Z7100
laptop which I've had almost three years now. It has been a pretty reliable
PC but I would go the Acer line of Netbooks which have different model
numbers depending on color, the Sampson 110 or 120, of course the MSI Wind,
the Lanovo Idea Pad I believe it is called. I hear the Sampson or whatever
that's called has an excellent keyboard.

Another one to stay away from is the msi wind. I didn't care for it
because you cannot use the number pad the way you can with most laptops
unless you change all your hot keys around. I'm used to leaving
Window-Eyes at the default hot key layout and just using the fn-key
together with the embedded number pad of a laptop. However the msi wind
has the number pad broken in that the behavior is different. In
addition, the comma, period, and slash keys are too small for my fingers
and I find myself making more typos than usual. So I gave mine to my
wife who doesn't care about such things, *smile*.

Hi Andy,
Do you have a netbook? If so, what kind do you have? I was really sorry to
hear the negative report about the Dell. I really like Dell computers. I
think that I would like a netbook for reading audiobooks on the computer,
watching movies from Mice Mart, watching some TV channels that are not
available to me through my cable company and streaming internet radio. I
don't think that you can do any of those things with the Voice Sense.

Hi Paulette,
Keep in mind that the vast majority of netbooks currently run Windows XP
Home, and after october 22, they will probably come with Windows 7.
window
Eyes will perform on a netbook the same way that it would perform on any
other Windows computer. Most netbooks have the same guts, usually an
Intel
Atom processor, 1 GB RAM, and a 120 or 160 GB HD. The difference is
really
ook and feel. For many, the keyboard is the most important concern. The
best thing that you can do is to go to a computer store and put your hands
on some of them, and check out things like the size and placement of keys.
my experience has been that if you don't like the keyboard, you probably
won't use the machine much. Of course, you could always plug in a
standard
USB keyboard, but that would negate the biggest advantage to netbooks,
namely, their portability.

Hi all,
I am thinking about purchasing a Netbook. Do they work well with Window
Eyes and if so, what is the best brand to use with Window Eyes? Thanks.
