If you've ever used the DECtalk synthesizer that comes with Window-Eyes, and you like the speech, you will probably not like the speech produced by the DECtalk USB. As far as I can tell, it has no resemblance to the original DECtalk speech. Since Access Solutions, its manufacturer, used the DECtalk name, it should have used the DECtalk speech as well. The way DECtalk USB speaks has always made me think that the programmer didn't have English as his first language.

Subject: the dectalk USB

HI DO YOU GUYSSTILL CARRY THE DECTALK USB?
If so does it work with windows vista and windows seven?
Also is anyone using the dectalk USB currently so that they can tell us all how they like it and if it is pleasant to listen to for a period of time.
I currently have the double talk LT
but have been thinking about getting a dectalk USB for a while now.
But if I get a new computer it will be with windows seven and that is why I would like to know ahead of time if this will work or not work.
