Is there a way to mark points on this strip perhaps with little
raised dots? If not, how about some way to disable or cover that strip.

are large laptops which can be bulky to carry around. I actually
have an HP Pavilion Dv6-1247 which is one of these big laptops. The

One thing you will find with any machine is that there'll be a lot
of stuff loaded at startup. This was true for the HP and my Acer
netbook which I also like very much. Some useres have looked at
Dell's Vostro 1720 which may also be a good idea because it's a
business machine. My desktop is a Dell Vostro so it was far easier
for me to pick a much less cluttered machine when I bought it. In
any case, you'll find that there'll be people who love each brand
and some who hate it. I've seen good things from HP, Dell, and
IBM. There are a lot of nice machines out there so you should be
able to find one that fits your needs.

mearly wanting to know what folks are personally settleing on in a
laptop, not a netbook. Give me brand name and model number if you
can. Specific additional specs like which processor, or how big of
a hard drive you got is not important at this time. If you wish to
tell me more, please save the list and write to me personally.
