Hi,
I was wondering what possible advantages/disadvantages Window-Eyes presents
in a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows?
Are there huge advantages?
Plenty. Speed and more memory are the two biggest advantages to going 64-bit.
Any major good reasons to stay on a 32-bit system over a 64-bit operating
system?
The only reason you might do so nowadays is if your hardware is too old
to run 64-bit applications. If you don't run many applications that
require heavy number crunching, though, you probably won't notice much
difference between a 32-bit or 64-bit machine.
On a side note, while this is not necessarily Window-Eyes specific, I'm not
sure if this is anything that any Windows Seven people could answer, does
anyone know if the product key used to activate Windows determines if the
product is 32-bit only or 64-bit?
The product key has nothing to do with whether or not the version of
Windows you install is 32-bit or 64-bit. It will, however, determine
which edition of Windows you end up running, such as Home Premium,
Professional, Ultimate, etc. The installation media itself has either
32-bit or 64-bit code, so you will need to have a 64-bit installation
DVD if you want 64-bit Windows 7.
P.s.
What time this weekend specifically are we "springing forward"?
We spring forward at 2:00 Sunday morning.

Steve
