Yes, when I use read-to-end in Outlook 2007 my PC begins to beep and the
reading function skips text. I think something is getting over loaded
when messages have tables imbedded within tables. This is very common
with Outlook 2007 email messages. Also when WE has to read information
such as entering picture frame, exiting hyper link field, on top of the
feedback for entering and exiting tables it appears as if it gets
overwhelmed.

Reminds me of the old serial synthesizers when flow control was not set
up properly.

already.  Are you saying that you get different results with alt-. 
and read-to-end?
