Hi Pastor Gill, and Everyone,

Well, I'm loving Windows Seven, despite the few things that are happening.

Twice now, my unloving Sound card has decided it wanted to take over my computer, and it went into a studdering fit, and I had to reboot.

Vernon said he got the latest drivers from the Sound Blaster web site.

One thing about Windows seven, is that so far, as much as we can tell, I believe that it updates all the drivers, automatically, from what we can gather.

If I'm wrong, please tell me, but so far, it has done this.

One thing that is happening, is that Window-Eyes is not reading the messages in Eudora, as read, or unread.

I may ditch this sound card, and get a better one.

This CPU and Motherboard is three years old, and we'll update it when we have the money.

Window-Eyes is loving with Windows Seven.

Thanks to everyone.

Hi Pat,
Check your power management.
It is in the windows control panel. To get there type control in the start search box and press enter. Do not get rid of your UAC. If you do, Window-Eyes will not start up automatically.

Hi Everyone,

I just did have my loving Vernon upgrade my loving computer to Windows seven this weekend, and I'm loving it thus far.

There are some things to get use to, but it's not bad.

My computer did reboot once, though, tonight, I'm not sure why. I lost speech, and I'm not sure what happened. I did get a VB script error before that happened, when I had rebooted my computer.

I'm going to get rid of the UAC in Windows seven, but I don't know where to do that. Any help is greatly appreciated, please.

Thanks.

Hi,
I would upgrade to Windows 7 anyway.
That is really what Microsoft is supporting.
I heard on the news that there would be no more security updates for XP starting July. If you still have XP service pack 3 I would download the setup file for it before July and save it somewhere in case you need it.
Just repeating what I heard on the news.

actually chris, i would think a case of using a 4 or 6 gigsof ddr 2 or ddr 3
ram in windows seven would work since this would be better in the long run.

Hi Pat,

In any 32 bit os you can not address more than 4 gigs of ram.

I really didn't see the point of 32 bit windows 7,
because it takes more over-head to run vista or w7 32 bit,
so you really don't gain anything, if your going to upgrade, 64 bit
w7 is the way to go.

Or stay with xp.

On my new nice i7 based studio machine, I have an xp drive with all
my familiar apps that work well now, and a 64 bit windows 7 to grow
in to, because there are still lots of growing pains with w7 but in a
couple of years it'll be really good.

Good luck.

Hi Walt and Everyone,

Maybe we need to tell them these things that are not totally
accessible. They seemed very interested in making sure it was
accessible with Window-Eyes.

I'm scanning my computer right now.

This is still my XP system, but hopefully, Vernon will get my new
Windows seven system set up this weekend.

I'll be using this with the loving Window-Eyes in a 32 bit system.

Oh, does anyone know how much RAM one can have in a Windows seven
32Bit environment?

Thanks much.

Hello Pat,

Well it is a good product. There are a couple of things I
wish they would make more accessible or fix. The thing I wish
they would fix is the settings menu for scanning. If you didn't
know the programs the check boxes in the settings is kind of
dificult to get around.

I liked the rile eraser but in the 64 bit version it doesn't work.

It is a good product and I plan to renew in August.

Hi Everyone,

Thanks to all of you who answered my question about Free Antivirus
software for Windows Seven.

I just spoke with the folks at Sunbelt Software, and they are a
great company. They are aware of Window-Eyes and they sent me an
email to download their 30 day trial for the Vipre Antivirus
Premium suite. I can't wait to install it as soon as I'm done
writing this email.

I think we'll be purchasing this package, as for $59.95 one can
put it on as many computers as you have in your dwelling.

GW Micro recommended this, and other great software, and the folks
at Windows Secrets actually recommended this package, as well.

It's nice to have a company that is US based, with tech support
here in the USA.

Thanks to all of you, and thanks to the loving folks at GW Micro,
and thanks for making Window-Eyes the loving screen reader that it is.

Have a great Memorial Day weekend, Everyone.

Blessings,

Pat Ferguson
