Government and many large corporations are still using XP because of its stability. I am about to get a new PC here at work, and it will have XP on it. My suggestion is to allow XP to just die already. It will be completely pointless for Doug Geoffray of GW Micro to continue to support an old operating system that is over 10 years old, and for that matter XP is following in the footsteps of Windows2000, wich is now dead. XP SP3 dies apparently sometime in 2014. Prior to this, application designers will begin supporting Windows Seven, and newer. Windows8 is the next version of the client OS. I don't know if Window-Eyes8 or newer will support that, but XP is a dying platform. What happens when XP is no longer supported? Will all you Window-Eyes users cling onto an operating system that in my personal opinion is totally pointless in even being backward compatible with? I think it is high time that every single one of you XP users permitted your hardware to be used by Linux, or something else, and converted over to Windows Seven. So what if it effects your Window-Eyes scripting development in negative bad ways? I'd say, iron out all the issues. I don't know if scripting development is unstable under the Vista and above code platforms, but regardless. XP is on it's way to it's deathbed. How many XP users will use it after it has expired? Even XP mode in Windows Seven is pointless, and is once again, another sign that everyone in the entire world needs to permit there XP machines to die. That's just my two sence on the issue of XP V.s the other technologies.
