Hi Chris, I read a Kindle book today, and it went fine.
you may already know this, but you can't read these books with window-eyes; you must use their reader with it's voice. so, you start the reading with their hotkey of control-r (their hotkeys are described on their web pages for this program). window-eyes is only used to read the menus, and the web site; it won't find or read any text from the book. hth, Chip -----Original Message----- From: Chris Hill [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, January 19, 2011 8:54 PM To: [email protected] Subject: kindle: okay what am I not doing? I downloaded the script and installed it. Downloaded the kindle app and installed it, got a book and opened it in the app. I can read the app fine, but can't find any text in the book. It is a gutenberg book, so there should be lots of lovely free text there? If anyone has a clue, I'd appreciate it. If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only.
