Hi all,

Having finally gotten the Kindle program installed and working with WE
7.2, I found that when you go to actually purchase books on the Kindle
store, the link to buy a book has no alt tag. It is a .gif with garbage
for a file name. The only way I found out which link is the one was to
ask a sighted person, and I learned that the link one needs follows
after another link which is something like get your kindle here. So if
you do a Wineyes search for the words get your, then tab once, you're
on the right link. This is on the page where you find reviews etc.
There is a "buy" link in the book listing but it doesn't actually buy
the book. It just takes you to the page with the garbage unlabeled
link. Has anybody found an actual labeled link that I'm missing?
Somehow, the idea that amazon can't manage to have its links properly
labeled after all the years of people telling them about this problem
seems fitting. They make the accessible plug in using a method that
doesn't allow us to use our screen reader's navigation keys and speech,
thus requiring memorization of a set of keystrokes just for their
application. Then they make it so purchasing books is less than
convenient, indeed not possible unless you have sighted help the first
time you do it. Or am I missing something?
