There is so much negativity here its a wonder GW Micro feels its worth
their while to continue development of Window Eyes.
Given how much more complex the web is, and software, not to mention the
scads of applications to achieve tasks like social networking, people need
to step back and appreciate what they have now. We could be the next Japan,
then what?

I don't think these company's making money give a damn about how buggy or
how their software works - or doesn't as the case may be - these days, gone
it seems are the days once upon a not so long ago when a Screen Reader
wasn't released for sale until bugs and problems were well and truly sorted
and documented, now its just about how much money a company can make on an
upgrade and getting that upgrade out ASAP and damn the consequences.

I don't know. After all Greedom Science Fiction releases FW updates on a
fairly regular basis and yet in my experience they've been extremely
buggy. I'm no programming expert but even I got a sort of rushed feeling
whenever I'd get a new update. That's one of the reasons I ditched JAWS
almost four years ago. I only hope I won't have to go back to using it on
the job once I do manage to find one.

I was told by one of the GW staff that they were going to start releasing
more updates more often. Don't know for sure if this a good or bad idea.
I do know three years between major updates is far to long.

I disagree! I think that GWMicro's decisions should be made purely on
the basis of who says what on this list. Let us just count the pros ond
cons based on list responses; then GWMicro can make its decisions.

I'm afraid I must agree with everyone else, why not release it when
it's ready? Clearly, GW Micro is very confident in 7.5 and while I
would've liked to have seen them release another version with the
remote assistance feature enabled so we could have a sneak-peak, I do
believe they know what they're doing and wouldn't release it unless
they were confident. Clearly they are.

Hello
No more betas!
That is a big mistake for GW Micro, for users can point out even more
problems with the current release 7.5. I am sure that the revision
they envisage is not sufficient to meet current user needs.
