the only thing I wish they would have done is enable the "ask for help," or "request help," for us to make sure, works, before the initial release of 7.5. I have at least 3 people who keep asking me if they have done that yet and I have to keep telling them "not yet." Now, I will tell them, "not until the full release of 7.5 will they make that available for us to use. I guess they feel confident enough it the ability of Window-Eyes to handle all situations with all computers in asking for help or helping someone. :)

Yep, charles I'm with you and the, shall we say, positivists, on this
one? But it's like an election, you know someone is gonna make a big
noise about who got elected and how that person was the wrong choice for
the job, yada yada yada. Ungreatful, I say, for something used on a
daily basis. Grow up, and bitch off list since you're just wasting the
resource.

It's amazing you would say that about GW Micro. I can't believe some
of the posts on this list. I personally don't think ANYBODY could
satisfy some of you people. There is nothing to keep you from
developing your own products.

I don't think these company's making money give a damn about how
buggy or how their software works - or doesn't as the case may be -
these days, gone it seems are the days once upon a not so long ago
when a Screen Reader wasn't released for sale until bugs and problems
were well and truly sorted and documented, now its just about how
much money a company can make on an upgrade and getting that upgrade
out ASAP and damn the consequences.

I don't know. After all Greedom Science Fiction releases FW updates

extremely buggy. I'm no programming expert but even I got a sort of
rushed feeling whenever I'd get a new update. That's one of the
reasons I ditched JAWS almost four years ago. I only hope I won't
have to go back to using it on the job once I do manage to find
one. We are the Knights who saaaaay...Ni! ----- Original Message

I was told by one of the GW staff that they were going to start
releasing more updates more often. Don't know for sure if this a
good or bad idea. I do know three years between major updates is
far to long. On 3/15/2011 8:39 PM, Robert Grimwood wrote:
I disagree! I think that GWMicro's decisions should be made
purely on the basis of who says what on this list. Let us just
count the pros ond cons based on list responses; then GWMicro
can make its decisions.

I'm afraid I must agree with everyone else, why not release
it when it's ready? Clearly, GW Micro is very confident in
7.5 and while I would've liked to have seen them release
another version with the remote assistance feature enabled so
we could have a sneak-peak, I do believe they know what
they're doing and wouldn't release it unless they were
confident. Clearly they are.

Hello

No more betas!

That is a big mistake for GW Micro, for users can point out
even more problems with the current release 7.5. I am sure
that the revision they envisage is not sufficient to meet
current user needs.
