Dane Trethowan's comment often applies to Freedom Science Fiction, but certainly does not apply to GW Micro and its dedicated staff of professionals! Yes, I do think it is a big mistake not to have another round of beta testing for 2 reasons: it would give users a chance to check out the new features they haven't tested as yet (e.g., Remote Access to other WE users) and build up their confidence in the final release of WE 7.5, and, of course, a few more bugs will sneak out to be killed.
Keep up the great work, GW Micro! This is the most outrageous statement I've ever seen when it concerns GWMicro. They are the best in the adaptive software companies. I've been a WE user since Version 4.11. They have always listened when I had a problem and the releases have had very few bugs. I have only come across a couple of bugs in this beta and they are fixed for the 7.5 release. To say this before 7.5 is out is nothing but stupid. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dane Trethowan" <[email protected]> To: "Bryan Peterson" <[email protected]> Cc: "Don H" <[email protected]>; "gwmicro" <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, March 15, 2011 10:01 PM Subject: Re: No more betas, Abig mistake! I don't think these company's making money give a damn about how buggy or how their software works - or doesn't as the case may be - these days, gone it seems are the days once upon a not so long ago when a Screen Reader wasn't released for sale until bugs and problems were well and truly sorted and documented, now its just about how much money a company can make on an upgrade and getting that upgrade out ASAP and damn the consequences.
