Tony, This is not the "Steve" to whom you were responding, but I have wrestled with this a little as well. I found that increasing the "Cursor delay" to 5 or possibly 10 if 5 doesn't work does give me better results even if not perfect. Of course, you would want to associate a "SET" file with Windows Live Mail if you do this permanently so you could change it only for Windows Live Mail. To just see if this helps for you at all, though, you could just change it globally and then change it back once you are through experimenting. I found a delay of 10 to make the response to cursor movement pretty reliable but it was pretty sluggish. Still, it was better than not doing anything. I found a delay of 5 to work most of the time and to be much quicker than 10 in terms of response. Some of this may work differently depending upon machine speed, though. This might not be perfect but might make things somewhat better.
