Don,

I will point out that my sighted wife has her own pc which I don't use, it's
Win 7 64 bit, and after using it for many hours it too often loses sound,
and the only fix is to reboot.  She hasn't really felt like looking into it,
but I'd bet there's an update for her sound card if she would take the time
(her choice not to go looking for it though).  So, it's not always WE which
is at fault.
