No, you did not break something. I have the same issue, and I have
this issue on several web sites, not just Google.
In fact, Window-Eyes doesn't read the fields in a Daily sleep study
diary that I have to fill out each evening. This is something very
anoying, as I have to keep taking msaa mode on and off to read the
fields, and to put my data in the proper places.
I think it's a Google Docx thing, but not sure. This started
happening when I was forced to go with IE9, and I can't even use the
mouse to read the fields to make sure I put the proper data in the
proper places, so I've been using another screen reader to perform this task.
