Keith,

You will find that many items that are not links in Browse Mode are links when 
not in Browse Mode.  I don't know why this is, but sometimes turning 
Browse Mode off will give you access to links that you may think can only be 
accessed by a mouse.  Some of the problem is Google, but some of it is 
screen readers not having the time to implement support for newer web pages 
with Windows 8 and all of the Microsoft Office changes.
