That actually makes a lot of sense.

Could we please take the discussion of gw' off of the list? It's a waste
of time and I need to read this thread to try and actually be a
productive beta tester. Disclaimer over, on to the original intent of
the thread.

I agree that browse mode shouldn't be activated when pressing or
focussing on a button. This is where google messes up, we sees the
result details button and then bm turns off. Then it goes back to the
top of the page. am i correct in that others are experiencing the same
thing?

I, too, have disabled the autoload feature as it is too buggy right now
for me to be productive with it. The browse mode issue I described
earlier about it being turned on but not doing anything happens no
matter the status of the auoload. t

Don,

What is it about the word Beta that you do not understand? The point of a
beta is to find problems and solve them. I am sorry that you have so failed
to read the information about the download that you do not understand this
basic information. If you do not wish to risk the problems of beta testing,
you should refrain from installing the beta. By reading our emails and
acting upon them, GWMicro are doing their job. What part of this procedure
are you unable to grasp?

Robert

That was not rude it was a statement of fact.

The part of your message is rude is your statement that you have turned
browse mod off until GWMicro does a better job... You might just try
looking
in the verbosity menu under browse mode. If you go to "Auto-Load" you can
set "Auto-load automatic browse mode buffer" to "no". Then go to "Allow
automatic form interaction" to "no". You should then have things back to
the
way they used to be.

What part of my message was rude?

Perhaps
some of you lack basic social skills. It is offensive that you inflict
this
deficiency on the rest of us. The people at GWMicro are doing their best.
You act as if they are trying to rip you off or, at the very least, fail
to
consider what you say. How about a little more civility?

In so many cases the new auto on and off of browse mode leaves you lost
on a web page. Some times WE will say edit box when a page loads but
not tell you a edit box for what. In other cases WE again puts you on a
edit box but says absolutely nothing.
And why oh why does browse mode get turned off for a button? For me
auto mode is useless and I have turned it off until GW does a better job
of implementing it.

What seems to be generally erratic behavior makes it hard to use the

But on Google, browse mode wouldn't automatically load, because focus is
on an edit box when the page comes up. So it makes sense that, on
Google, browse mode would be off so that you could immediately start
typing. Is it possible that's what you're experiencing on other pages?
Is it possible that they're loading with focus on an edit box or some
other form control?
