Hi, Mike. Window-Eyes place markers can be set to be temporary. Instead of pasting your search string into the WE find command, press Control-Shift-K to open the place marker dialog. The controls are pretty much self explanatory, but if not, the WE manual can clear up most questions. Basically, you can set a place marker to recover your spot in text by pressing Control-Shift-K, tabbing to the temporary check box and checking it, then pressing Enter. Window-Eyes will have inserted a string of text at the place of the virtual cursor and will do a search relative to line number. Since the text on the page is unlikely to change by the time you return, this WE configuration should get you by. If not, try the second, then the third "position relative to" radio buttons. The bottom radio button never fails for me. Again, the WE manual and a little trial and error should net you positive results. God bless, Lou N.

It would be nice to be able to temporarily mark a point on a web page, wander off to read something else, and then return to the former spot. I don't believe that WE can currently do this, nor is there a script that allows for this? Does something like this exist; and, if not, could someone (either WE through a WE enhancement or a app writer through scripting) develop this capability?
