Dectalk does do this. I have used Dectalk access32, Dectalk express, and a Dectalk USB synthesizer. As stated before, if there is no proper punctuation in the text, it wil continuously read and lower in pitch until it can take a breath and sound normal again. Never seen this and I have read a lot of text, and been using Dectalk for about thirteen years. I don’t know why yours does it. A friend of mine complains because she says it sounds like a robot and doesn’t vary pitch enough to satisfy her. I told her she’d get over it. dPam.
