Hi,

My common-sense solution, albeit a work-around, is, periodically, shut down and restart WE. I do this to alleviate the problem you have described, and it does the job. What can ya do, for I love my WE? smile

Take care,

Rod

My suggestion is to seriously look at upgrading your computer to
Windows 7 or 8, preferably 7. XP is gone, not supported which
    makes you vulnerable.

If you are in a work situation, I would seriously talk to your
employer about the possibility of upgrading your computer. I know
I have approached the subject and it will happen soon for me.

    Thanks.

Using WE 8.4 on Toshiba laptop running Windows 7 home premium
32-bit with Office 2007 and IE 10 as well as Acer netbook running
Windows 7 home premium 64-bit with Office 2007 and IE 10 and
Microsoft security Essentials on both machines.

    Hello all!

I wanted to come in to the list because well, this subject line
says it all. I have been running WE now for quite sometime and I
have noticed that WE takes a serious amount of CPU usage. I have
3.24 gb of ram in this Dell Lattitude d520 running XP home still.
Yes, i know, I know. XP is dead. Has been since April. Anyway, I
have disabled all running apps within Window Eyes and still get
the sluggishness. But, if I load NVDA, or System access, I do not
get the sluggish responce time. What is going on or how can this
be fixed? This has gone on long enough. I don't want to take out
Window eyes and do a full repair on it then only to have to set up
my profile and things again. I can do this but, I find that to be
an annoyance more then a solution. That last of course, is just
how I feel, and my opinion. If one of the GWMicro staff could help
with this, i would be forever greatful.
