Subject: about windows security essentials updates

I get notifications to click on this sort of update while I’m reading my mail,
but don’t know how to get to the place where I’d click to get the update. I’m
set to receive updates automatically; does that mean that if my computer is on
at the right time, the update will install eventually? When I do a manual
check for updates, I’m told that no important updates are available, and that
there are four optional updates. Therefore, not sure why I’m getting these
notifications. I’m on windows seven with internet explorer eleven.

Thanks.

      Kathy.
