First, when you want to shut-down, press the windows key alone, and then tab to
shutdown.

The voice control keys (control-alt and the arrows), are sometimes used by
video cards to rotate the screen. Be sure to press control-alt up arrow to
have the screen right-side up.
Then there are some instructions in a knowledge-base article about how to
disable these video rotation keys so window-eyes can use them.

Subject: Trying this again: WE not changing speech parameters on the fly and
can't get to the shut down menu

Hoping someone can help!!! I am using Window Eyes for Office and am having
trouble with two things:

First, in using the control, alt, left arrow key combination, this does not
seem to alternate between tone, pitch, etc. so they may be changed on the fly.
Not sure why...

Second, I cannot get to the shut down options with window eyes on my system..
I'm using a Windows 7 64-bit edition, on my laptop and when using the windows
key for the start menu, I arrow over from the search box when you first get
into the start menu, arrowing over to where the shut down options should be.
It continually tells me I'm in the search edit box.

Can anyone help???
