I too have experienced what you are talking about. I have reported it on this list. Appears to be an error in the WE 9.0 installer for the office version. This does not happen with the evaluation, nor does it happen if I upgrade to 9.0 from the WEforOffice 8.4 install. It only happens when doing a fresh install with the WEforOffice installer for version 9.0. Hopefully, they'll sort this out. If you have never used the evaluation, you can download the Window-Eyes demo and use it for 60 days. You won't see this issue with the Window-Eyes evaluation demo. Hope this helps.
